Jim Bennitt found yoga, tantra, and ayurveda in 1997. After a decade of wrestling he developed low back pain and tried yoga to help with the healing process. He soon found that the practice was affecting his mind as well as his body and decided to make serious life-style changes to become a “full-time” yogi. Jim began teaching in 2002 and in 2009 co-founded Tejas Yoga in Chicago. He is known for his ability to seamlessly weave pranayama, bandha, and mudra into a vinyasa-style practice.
